Volunteer: California - Raise Your Voice for Addiction Treatment Transparency & Accountability

Shatterproof is mobilizing supporters in California to engage in immediate advocacy in support of Assembly Bill 2343, legislation designed to increase transparency and accountability within the addiction treatment system.

This bill focuses on protecting people seeking care and their families by ensuring lawmakers better understand how misleading marketing, inadequate services, and non-evidence-based practices impact real lives.

With key deadlines approaching, we are inviting volunteers to step forward now to participate in specific advocacy actions tied to an upcoming Assembly Committee hearing.

Why This MattersSubstance use disorder (SUD) is the #1 cause of death for Californians ages 18–44 Only 1 in 10 Californians with SUD receive treatment annuallyToo many people seeking help for themselves or loved ones encounter:Misleading or deceptive treatment marketingPrograms that fair to deliver appropriate or effective careA system with limited transparency or accountability
