Be the first friendly face participants meet! Help with checking in, registering in the app, distributing incentives, or assisting with t-shirt purchases. You’ll also answer questions and help guide people to the right places at the event.

Capture the day’s magic! Use your own phone or camera to take photos of team moments, start/finish lines, the resource village, and the overall event. We’ll share a shot list, and we ask that you send us your photos within 2 weeks. You don’t need to be a pro, just someone with a good eye and an eagerness to help us tell the story!

Be part of our Day‑of Donation activation on Walk Day! Swag Volunteers staff the Shatterproof Swag tent, help attendees make donations through our website, and distribute swag based on donation levels. Your role helps energize the event, celebrate generosity, and directly support Shatterproof’s work to end addiction.

Help kick off the day by setting the stage for our event! Site Set Up Volunteers assist with unloading trucks, distributing supplies to various tents, placing signage, and decorating tents and tables. Light lifting may be involved, but accessible tasks will be available for all abilities.

Bring the hype! Cheer on participants at the finish line with signs, noise makers, and medals/mementos. Volunteers are encouraged to bring pre-made signs or grab some fun cheering gear from the volunteer tent.

Pass out bracelets and help participants share why they’re walking to end addiction. Some volunteers will stay at the tent to support this activity, while others may walk around the site to encourage participation.

Support the check-in process by welcoming volunteers, collecting paperwork, and handing out t-shirts and instructions. You may also be asked to manage the Volunteer Tent if the Lead steps away. A friendly attitude and ability to multitask are key!

North Texas Overdose Awareness Day is an event to remember those lost to overdose, provide valuable information on overdose prevention, and grow community awareness in North Texas. It is part of a larger network of Awareness Days across the country held on August 31 each year. 

Shatterproof will provide all necessary materials and support leading up to event.

We are looking for volunteers to table on behalf of Shatterproof to share our mission, what we do, resources, and connections with the community.

The Fort Worth Walk for Lives is a national fentanyl awareness movement bringing together families, advocates, recovery communities, prevention organizations, first responders, and community leaders to honor lives lost, raise awareness, and protect future generations. It will include a community resource fair, guest speakers, and a memorial/community awareness walk.

Shatterproof will provide all necessary materials and support leading up to event.

We're excited to share that Shatterproof's Treatment Atlas is once again sponsoring Save a Life Day, a nationwide initiative dedicated to distributing naloxone to communities across the country. 

In 2025, 1,044 events were hosted nationwide, resulting in the distribution of 132,959 naloxone doses - a powerful demonstration of what community-led action can achieve.

On September 24, 2026, you can get involved in one of two ways:

All participants receive robust support, including monthly planning calls, design and outreach templates, and access to a nationwide event map that helps community members find and attend events.

Your story matters - and how, when, and if you share it is always up to you.

This opportunity allows volunteers at all levels to share their experiences on their own terms or to stay informed about future story‑sharing opportunities. Stories can help reduce stigma, build connection, and show the impact of volunteerism nationwide, but participation is always optional.

At the beginning of each month, we’ll share any specific storytelling prompts or content needs (e.g., short reflections, walk experiences, tie-ins to awareness days, photos, or videos). You’ll always decide whether and how to participate.

Nothing is shared without your approval, and your privacy and comfort come first.
